Low tide exposes a sandbar which connects Mount Desert Island to Bar Island. You can find people exploring the sea bed before the tide comes back in.
Normally this would be underwater. Looks like I'm on an old cobblestone street.
We have seen some of the most fascinating rocks... This one appears to be tinged with marble.
We were the only ones there, trekking through three miles of forest. Almost the entire way, the trail was overrun with tree roots, which made it very difficult to maneuver. I hope my ankles will forgive me.
In the end, it was worth it. Best seat in the house.Something really cool happened at the lighthouse... A seal quietly poked his head out of the water and looked at us for a few moments before disappearing.

You know what's wierd? You could be in Alaska, Ireland, Oregon... I bet it would look very similar to how it looks in that park. It is absolutely gorgeous! How much do you love it??? I could dive into that lobster roll and eat my way out. Sorry you didn't enjoy it. Maybe it is an acquired taste. However, that pumpkin cheesecake ice cream....yummmmmmmmm! You both look very refreshed and chill. I hope you are having a great time. I love all of the updates. Still feeling lonely.... but happy for you!
It's so weird seeing y'all in those long sleeves when it's so hot over here. LOL at the biblical moment!
