Day 2 in Maine... We spent the day hiking in Acadia National Park.

Sand Beach

The water was very cold

Here's something you don't see every day...
There is a stream that flows over the beach and into the ocean

We had to cross the stream to reach the trail head of our first hike

Climbing the Great Head Trail

Looking back at Sand Beach

Posing... Thought we had reached a significant point

Behold!

Great Head
Elevation: 145 feet

Thunder Hole

A LEGO person we spotted at Thunder Hole...
I love how he is holding a pair of binoculars

$10 margarita pitcher at Pancho Villa's

Sam doesn't remember what happened after we left Pancho Villa's

Ok, I have to comment on the names of some of these spots....Thunder hole? Great head? What kind of place is this! I think I need to be there! lol Those are some sexy hiking pictures too, so rugged and raw! :-) Those pictures are like postcards, it is really beautiful. It looks very peaceful. I think you forgot something.....me! Love and miss y'all!
Oh, I forgot something... If Sam doesn't remember what happened after the margaritas....we will have to wait til the pictures surface I guess. There is nothing quite like margaritamnesia.
margaritamnesia! LOL
Yeah, Great Head is listed as moderate, but it really kicked our asses. As a result, we revised the plans for today. Slow and low...
